Performance energy savings project was carried out at Wipro Technology for its software development center and corporate office at Sharjapur, Bangalore. Major energy savings were achieved with its air conditioning plant, data center and workstation loads through process optimization, which is a NO-COST implementation measure. Energy savings result was accounted for 9months before, and 9months after this energy savings project up to the year 2003. Before the energy conservation project, the building's average monthly total energy consumption was at 232,700kWh which was taken as a base line consumption. And after the project, it was reduced to 216,894units. Net energy savings verified was 7%.
